Day 20 - Acting Upon God's Call to Advance

Throughout one’s lifetime every man comes to moments in life when he asks himself, “Is this all I have to give?”

It’s a powerful question which almost always seems more daunting to ignore than to comes to grips with. So many times, when questions like arise, we tend to push the question away or become too busy to process it. However, recently, more men are spending time with that very question and I am very glad about that.

The results are thought provoking. Men are discovering that their advancement is measured in four areas, or dimensions, of manhood:

  1. Identity

  2. Relationships

  3. Purpose

  4. Vision

These four areas of manhood are where our courage to grow will overcome our fear of failure. We all want to be the man God intended us be but our past, our failures, and lack of knowledge hold us back. Satan has placed in the thought process of men this question: “What if?”

What if someone finds out about my past? What if they learn about my failure? What if my lack of biblical knowledge becomes obvious? And we stop dead in our tracks. We fail toadvance. Today, you and I have a choice: act upon God’s call to advance in our lives or allow the “what ifs” to stall us. I pray we have the courage to advance.
